DEC IMPIANTI - control system engineer (CSE-02)

Current projects include the design, build and installation of VOC and HAP abatement systems for the chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.

We are currently searching for a Control System Engineer for our site in RHO (Milan, Italy). The successful candidate will have trackable experience with SIEMENS S7 PLC programming and SCADA design. This site is responsible for design, project management and services, with activities being carried out worldwide, at customers site.

Key skills:

  • Siemens S7 programming in Ladder and/or Function Block;
  • SCADA design and programming in Siemens WinCC;
  • Experienced in the commissioning and maintenance.
  • Duties

    The role requires a self motivated individual, capable of scheduling their own work on a daily basis to achieve project requirements. The position reports to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for managing a mixture of sub-contract and in house resources as required to deliver turnkey control systems as part of the company's wider product offering. In addition, commissioning, testing and operator training on customer sites will be required and some time working away from home will be necessary.

    For each project, the control systems engineer will be expected to work from a Functional Design Specification to generate the following documents:

  • I/O List;
  • Instrument Schedules;
  • Single Line Diagrams;
  • PLC Equipment List;
  • PLC System Architecture;
  • P&Id takeoff;
  • industrial network - 3rd Party interface protocol such as OPC, Field Bus, Mod bus, Profibus etc.;
  • Loop Diagrams;
  • Hookup Drawing;
  • FAT Documents;
  • instrument Specification & Ordering;
  • field instrumentation parametrization;
  • electrical & Instrument Training Documents and operating manuals.
  • minimum requirements

    To apply for this position candidates must:

  • show a trackable experience of 4 - 10 years in design, engineering, installation and commissioning of control system using DCS / PLC for large processes;
  • have a domain knowledge in Refineries / Petrochemicals / Power / Oil & Gas / Chemicals / Pharmaceutical;
  • have understanding of the Electrical Engineering concepts, such as, power supplies distribution, rotating devices working, Variable speed drives, UPS supplies, etc.;
  • have knowledge of risk assessment, SIL rating and safety circuit design;
  • proficiency in italian (mother-tongue or exceptionally fluent);
  • proficiency in English and/or Spanish and/or Portoguese and/or Arabic languages (written and spoken);
  • be eligible to live and work in ITALY;
  • have a valid EU passport without any restrictions (applications are accepted from citizens of the accession countries which joined the EU in 2004).
