a BRU® unit installed in a refinery

The BRU® provides a low cost solution with the following features:

Nitrogen strips VOCs from wastewater in the packed column. The VOC laden nitrogen stream is conditioned to decrease its relative humidity below 50% and it is sent to carbon adsorbers where the VOCs are captured.

The nitrogen is recycled back to the column to close the loop and VOCs are removed from the carbon beds by conventional steam desorption DEC.RSV™. The desorbate is separated in a decanter in two phases, with the water recycled back to the stripper and the VOCs recovered.
